The War Wyrm

The forces of Darkness amass on the footsteps of the Planar gates. Immense armies and fleets of the Dark Lord’s bidding.

And floating in the center of this Armada of Doom is the immense and devastating War Wyrm. This ancient and nearly insurmountable battleship strikes terror and fear into all that would date confront it.

Constructed from the skeletal remains of the mightiest of fallen ancient dragons, the superstructure of this ship is resilient and able to withstand damage that wound cripple mere ironwood frames. And layered over that are plates of the strongest spellsteel and kraken hide. All engraved with dark necromancy giving the hulk of the ship to regenerate wounds after receiving devastating attacks.

Like all house Aries ships, their necromantic bonds to their ship weapons allow successful attacks to not only damage the enemy, but utilize that negative energy to heal itself. Yes, it’s a vampiric ship.

Each War Wyrm is commanded by no less than a Princeps. These ships are rare and overwhelmingly powerful. Filled with rows of massive trebuchets and catapults, they can unleash a volley of death that few other fleets, let alone ships can match.

And some even House their own dragons that sally forth and serve as strike forces during ship to ship combat.
